QuestTally

Terms of Service

Last updated August 9, 2026

These terms cover your use of QuestTally. They are deliberately short. Using the service means you agree to them.

Who can use QuestTally

You need to be at least 13 years old, or 16 if you are in a country where that is the minimum age for consenting to online services. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done through your account.

What the service is

QuestTally lets you track games you play, rate and review them, and share your library. It is free, and it is run by a small independent operator rather than a company with a support department.

Game titles, cover art, descriptions, and related metadata come from IGDB and remain the property of their respective owners. We do not guarantee that this information is accurate, complete, or current.

Your reviews and library

Anything you write — reviews, your bio, list names, a featured-library pitch — stays yours. By posting it you give us permission to store and display it as part of running the service, including showing it on your public profile and in the discovery feed when your library is set to public.

That permission ends when you delete the content or your account. Remember that new libraries are public by default and can be read by anyone, so treat what you write as public unless you have changed your visibility in Settings. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what is exposed.

Acceptable use

Do not use QuestTally to:

  • Post content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, threatening, or that impersonates someone else.
  • Upload or link to malware, or attempt to break, probe, or overload the service.
  • Scrape the site or hammer the API in bulk. Search requests are rate-limited, and working around those limits is not allowed.
  • Access another person’s account or library without permission, including sharing a private link you were given in confidence.
  • Resell or redistribute the game metadata as your own dataset.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. For anything other than clear abuse, we will tell you why.

Availability and changes

QuestTally is provided as-is, with no uptime guarantee. It may be unavailable for maintenance, upgrades, or reasons outside our control. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may stop running the service entirely. If we ever shut it down, we will give notice and a way to export your library first.

Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings or your own profile page. Deletion is immediate and permanent — it removes your profile, your library, and any request you submitted, with no recovery window. We may close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data arising from your use of the service. Keep your own copy of anything you would be upset to lose.

Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

Governing law

QuestTally is operated from California, United States. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled by the state or federal courts located in California.

If you are using QuestTally from somewhere else, that is on you to square with your local law. Mandatory consumer protections where you live still apply.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. Continuing to use QuestTally afterwards means you accept the updated version. Questions go to support@questtally.com.
